About My Roving

I am very proud to offer you fine Suri and Huacaya alpaca roving. This fiber comes not only from my farm, but from Suri farms across the country. I choose only the finest. Each bump of roving starts when the alpaca is sheared. I skirt the fleece heavily, and then hand pick and pull each lock apart to remove vegetable matter. Next I hand wash the fiber and air dry it. Once it is totally clean, I take it to the carding mill where it is professionally carded into 4 ounce roving bumps. I can't promise you will never find a bit of hay in my roving, but I guarantee it is the cleanest roving around!

My roving is light and airy and practically drafts itself!

I can do custom dyeing, but usually I dye whatever color moves me at the moment and offer the results to you!
